What Else Do I Do / Have I Done

I am the Chair (since October 2022) of IFIP Technical Committee 13 on Human Computer Interaction. I am a South African Representative on TC13, representing the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA. I was previously the Vice-Chair for Awards for TC13 (2014 – 2022).

I was Chairperson of the IFIP Working Group 13.1 on Human Computer Interaction Education and Curriculum from 2005 to 2010.

I was Co-editor of the South African Computer Journal from 2007 to 2014, and currently serve on the Editorial Board for the Journal.

I am Associate Editor for the Interacting with Computers Journal.

I am an Elected Member of the European Academy of Science.

I have served on the Council of the South African Institute for Computer Scientists and Information Technologists (SAICSIT) in various capacities. I was President of SAICSIT from 2001 to 2004 (two terms), vice-president from 2008 to 2012 and Council Member 2012 – 2016.
